Jesusita Trail 02/13/2010

A couple weekends ago we took a hike with Dan to check out wild flowers on Jesusita Trail in Santa Barbara. The Abacus took most of the flower photos. I am including one of my favorites that she didn't post just so you see that we saw flowers.



I tried to frame a shot of cactus in a gate during a rest break on the hike.



The photographic highlight came when The Abacus spotted an alligator lizard in the trail. Dan has a nice 100mm macro lens. After he took a few shots he loaned it to me. I really like the eye.

    I love this alligator lizard. I need to read about them to see how common they are around here since this was the first I had ever seen.
